The long-running drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has once again taken a sharp turn with a major leap in its storyline. Seven years have quietly passed since the couple lost their daughter during her Nahavan ceremony, a tragedy that tore their world apart.
Unknown to Abhira, fate had something else in store. Armaan, who was devastated by the loss, managed to find their daughter soon after. Yet instead of reuniting the baby with her mother, he chose to disappear. Taking his daughter away from the Poddar family and from Abhira, Armaan built a secluded life in Mount Abu. In this new chapter, he works as a radio jockey, living in a modest home with little luxury but the company of his daughter, Maira.
Their world is small, with Geetanjali becoming a significant part of their lives. She’s not just a neighbor but a confidante, deeply attached to Maira. Over time, Geetanjali harboured feelings for Armaan, seeing it as a natural extension of their bond. The two live quietly, keeping their past buried.
Meanwhile, life has been equally harsh for Abhira. Banished from the Poddar house by Sanjay and Krish, she found shelter in a small chawl alongside Dadisa and Vidya. The law firm once proudly held by the family now belongs to Sanjay and Krish. Vidya and Dadisa sustain themselves by selling sarees, while Abhira practices law, burdened by guilt. She wrongly believes that her actions led to the loss of her daughter, still unaware of Armaan’s secret.
Into this turbulent life enters Anshuman, a wealthy businessman brother of Krish’s would be wife. Anshuman isn’t just a casual acquaintance; he invests in Dadisa and Vidya’s saree venture and shows a peculiar interest in Abhira. His presence stirs curiosity and speculation, as his intentions remain unclear.
As the narrative moves ahead, a dance competition becomes the unlikely setting where paths cross. Maira, determined and passionate, enrolls in the contest. Without informing Armaan, she and Geetanjali travel to Udaipur for the next round. When Armaan discovers this, panic strikes. He rushes after them, desperate to prevent any encounter with the Poddar family and above all, Abhira.
The stage is set for a dramatic confrontation at the event. Unaware of each other’s presence initially, Armaan and Abhira are bound to collide. Circumstances lead Abhira and Anshuman to partner for a stall at the same event, setting up an inevitable face-off.
Armaan, cornered and anxious, spins a web of lies to protect his secret. He tells Abhira that Maira is Geetanjali’s daughter and that they plan to marry soon, explaining why the girl calls him ‘papa’. His words are meant to create distance, to ensure Abhira stays away from Maira. In a desperate bid, Armaan even decides to marry Geetanjali swiftly.
But secrets have a way of surfacing. Anshuman, growing suspicious, begins piecing the story together. It won’t be long before he uncovers the truth about Maira’s identity. What follows promises to be a storm of emotions and reckonings.
The biggest question looms large; will Abhira forgive Armaan for a betrayal so deep? Will the truth reunite a broken family, or will it leave behind scars too painful to heal? Viewers are left waiting, eager to witness the aftermath of revelations that could change everything.
