Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of television’s longest-running shows, recently introduced a major seven-year leap. Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit now lead the show as Abhira and Armaan. The leap has completely changed the lives of the central characters, setting the stage for an emotional and dramatic reunion.
Among the newest additions is actor Rahul Sharma, who joined the cast as Anshuman. He is introduced as Abhira’s business partner, and his arrival has sparked new speculations. Characters Kaveri and Vidya, who care deeply for Abhira, are already considering Anshuman a suitable match for her. Since Abhira has spent seven years away from Armaan, they feel it’s time for her to leave the past behind and find happiness again. But as expected, nothing is that simple in this story.
While the Poddar family continues to hope Abhira will move on, destiny seems to have other plans. In the coming episodes, Armaan and Abhira’s paths will cross again after years of separation. Interestingly, Anshuman will be the one responsible for bringing them face-to-face. Abhira, who has been working hard to establish her saree business, lands a big opportunity to present her designs at a fashion event. The event is being organised by Anshuman, giving her the platform she always dreamed of.
The twist arrives when Anshuman ropes in Armaan to host the same event. After the leap, Armaan has taken up a job as a radio jockey, moving to Mount Abu to start over. Hosting the event becomes unavoidable, and fate cleverly brings the estranged couple together in the same room.
Another major angle in the story revolves around Armaan and Abhira’s daughter, Maira, fondly called Pookie. After the separation, Armaan left Udaipur without informing anyone and settled in Mount Abu with Maira. Abhira has spent the last seven years desperately searching for her daughter, unaware of her whereabouts. Her heart still carries the pain of being separated from her little girl.
Armaan, on the other hand, has completely distanced himself from both Abhira and the Poddar family. He refused to send Maira to Udaipur even for a dance competition, fearing any possible encounter with his past. His decision has been firm. He wanted no ties, no memories, and no interactions with the people he left behind. But life, once again, seems to have its own plans.
In an interesting turn, Geetanjali takes Maira to Udaipur without Armaan’s knowledge. Despite his strict refusal, Maira leaves for the city he tried so hard to avoid. This unexpected move is expected to draw Armaan back to Udaipur as well, leading to more complications. Whether Armaan follows his daughter or remains stubborn is something the audience is waiting to discover.
The question now is whether Abhira will finally meet her daughter. Will she discover that Pookie is actually Maira? The stage is set for a possible emotional confrontation.
