The makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are ready to stir emotions once again. The show, known for its endless twists and turns, is heading for another major leap. This time, it’s a six-year jump, and as expected, heartbreak follows closely behind. Armaan and Abhira, played by Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla, are all set to part ways once more.
A brand-new promo has revealed glimpses of what lies ahead. Armaan seems to have left his career as a lawyer behind. Instead, he’s chosen a new path and now works as a radio jockey. The scenes show him living a life separate from Abhira. Their daughter, Pookie, is no longer a toddler. She’s grown up and makes a surprise appearance at Armaan’s radio station, accompanied by a mysterious woman whose identity remains unknown.
While Armaan is seen adjusting to his life as an RJ, Abhira is nowhere around. The storyline takes a turn when Armaan, during his radio show, receives a call from an anonymous listener. The woman on the line is heartbroken and wishes to dedicate a song for her daughter on her birthday. What neither of them realizes is that they are speaking to each other. Abhira, unaware that it’s Armaan on the other side, expresses her sorrow of living apart from her daughter.
The coincidence doesn’t go unnoticed. Armaan, cheerful at first, comments, “It’s a strange coincidence. It’s my daughter’s birthday too.” The promo beautifully captures the pain of two people who, despite being separated by fate, remain emotionally connected through their child.
One of the most moving moments comes when Armaan reflects on his past. Looking at an old photograph of Abhira. He vows not to let his history affect his daughter’s life. “I won’t let my past ruin my daughter’s future,” he declares, tearing up the picture.

Meanwhile, the ongoing episodes bring more drama. The show recently showcased Pookie’s Navaahaan ceremony, a traditional ritual marking a special phase for the little one. But chaos erupts when Pookie suddenly disappears. Armaan, known for his temper, reacts angrily when he finds out. The situation turns tense as it’s revealed that Abhira was taking care of Pookie and had handed her over to Vidya. But now, both Vidya and Pookie have vanished.
