Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has once again managed to capture hearts with its gripping storyline and emotional turns. Rohit Purohit as Armaan and Samridhii Shukla as Abhira have been at the center of this intense narrative, and their complicated relationship has become the talk of every television-loving household.
The post-leap track saw Armaan moving away with his daughter Maira, leaving Abhira behind. During a conversation with Bollywood Spy, Rohit shared how Geetanjali entered their lives. It was Samridhii, during an on-set chat, who asked him about Armaan’s connection with Geetanjali. Rohit explained that after leaving everything behind, Armaan relocated to Mount Abu and rented a house that belonged to Geetanjali’s grandfather. It was there that Maira and Geetanjali crossed paths and soon struck up a close bond. Over time, Maira became so attached to her that she started insisting on calling Geetanjali her mother. Rohit recalled, “Ek time aya ki Maira ne zid karni shuru kardi ki Geetanjali hi uski mumma hai. Bohot baar samjaya bhi ki yeh mumma nahi but friend hai.”
This unexpected bond put Armaan in a tricky situation. Maira’s innocent demands made it harder for him to explain reality, and gradually, Geetanjali became a vital part of their small world. Now, Maira hopes to see Armaan and Geetanjali marry, adding yet another emotional twist to the ongoing drama.
In the latest episodes, Armaan finally reunites with the Poddar family. The meeting is heavy with emotions as every member breaks down upon seeing him. The most touching moment comes when Armaan meets Vidya and immediately falls at her feet, seeking forgiveness for his absence.
