In the latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, emotions ran high and danger lurked close. The episode opened with Abhira holding her baby close during a bus journey. The warmth of that simple moment, however, was quickly overshadowed when Armaan voiced his concern. He reminded her that she had just recovered from a fever and needed to keep her distance from the child. Though his words came from worry, they sounded distant, leaving Abhira hurt. Ruhi, seeing the tension, spoke up and told Armaan to be more mindful and gentle in his approach.
The family soon reached the temple for the much-awaited Nahavan ceremony. As the rituals were about to begin, Armaan took Pookie from Abhira’s arms and joined the Pooja without a word. That moment, which should’ve united them, left Abhira sidelined, watching silently as her place in the moment was taken from her. The ceremony carried on while she masked her pain, standing away from the rituals.
After the Pooja, the atmosphere lightened for a while. Everyone began playfully debating over who would take selfies with the baby. Smiles returned briefly, but Armaan, still on edge, shouted at everyone to quiet down. The sudden burst of anger startled the family, but they eventually gathered for a family photograph, temporarily restoring calm.
Meanwhile, Abhira couldn’t shake off a bad dream she’d seen the night before. It had made her unusually alert and possessive about her daughter’s safety. As the family engaged in a food donation drive at the temple, Vidya offered to hold the baby so Abhira could help distribute food. Reluctantly, she agreed but kept a constant watch on Vidya and Pookie.
Without warning, things took a dark turn. Vidya and Pookie were nowhere to be seen. Panic spread like wildfire. Armaan, instead of helping, immediately lashed out at Abhira, accusing her of neglect. Vidya had taken Pookie to another small shrine nearby to perform a protective ritual against the evil eye, but she hadn’t informed anyone.
There, Vidya encountered a nurse and some unfamiliar men. It soon became clear they were dangerous, blackmailing her and trying to snatch the baby. She struggled to escape, clutching the child tightly. At that very moment, Abhira’s instinct told her something was wrong. She dashed toward the nearby temple and spotted Vidya cornered. Without thinking twice, Abhira confronted the goons. She quickly grabbed Pookie and ran as the men chased after her.
On the run, Abhira called Armaan to alert him. Madhav, sensing the danger, wasted no time and contacted the police. In her desperate bid to shield her daughter, Abhira hid Pookie inside a large box and concealed herself in a nearby drum. The area buzzed with tension as the kidnappers searched for them.
A nerve-racking sequence followed. Abhira eventually came out of hiding, courageously taking on the goons. She fought them off until Armaan arrived. Together, they managed to push the attackers back. Amidst the chaos, the box where Pookie was hidden was accidentally taken away.
The horrifying realisation struck both parents. Armaan’s reaction was harsh. Instead of seeing Abhira’s bravery, he erupted in anger, placing all the blame on her shoulders. In his rage, he demanded, “Bring my daughter back.”
The episode closed on a tense note, with the family shaken, the baby missing. Danger had passed for now, but the scars of blame and mistrust had settled deeper than ever.
