Vivek Dahiya and Divyanka Tripathi have long held a special place in the hearts of television audiences. Both established actors in their own right, their personal story added warmth to their on-screen journeys. Their first professional collaboration came with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, though their characters didn’t share a love story in the show.

Since making their relationship public in early 2016, the couple has often found themselves targeted by endless rumours. Despite sharing a solid bond, whispers about troubles in their marriage and even divorce talks have followed them. Like most celebrity pairs, Vivek and Divyanka have learned to navigate these uninvited narratives. Recently, Vivek decided to openly address the constant speculation that shadows their relationship.

In a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Vivek reflected on how time and experience have reshaped his perspective. “Now I am more prepared as I have seen and lived this phase, where I have learnt so much,” he shared. The actor admitted that being a public figure comes with its share of judgments. Whether one likes it or not, it’s part of the life they signed up for. Vivek mentioned that he now deals with these situations more sensibly.

While the actor has grown used to public scrutiny, he admitted the initial days weren’t easy. The buzz around their announcement as a couple had both positive and harsh reactions. Vivek remembered those early days when, as a newcomer to Divyanka’s world, he felt like an outsider. He said it was difficult because people rushed to judge without knowing them personally.

Vivek spoke about how those judgments reached them. Some comments were direct, while others were indirect. He revealed that facing those assumptions wasn’t pleasant, but it eventually made their relationship stronger. They handled those testing times together and proved the doubters wrong. “It was a hard time for us. It’s very easy to judge, and it’s part of our innate nature,” he confessed. The actor shared how back then, it felt like the entire world was watching his every move.

Apart from addressing personal matters, Vivek opened up about a tough phase during the COVID lockdown. He revealed that he picked up a drinking habit while being confined at home. It started casually as a night ritual of sitting with a glass and watching content. Though he insisted he didn’t engage in anything reckless, the habit slowly turned into a lifestyle pattern.

Vivek realised frustration was creeping in, and he started noticing changes in his body and mood. “Slowly, frustration started crawling in and then I started witnessing a pattern and realised this is not something I would like to continue doing,” Vivek admitted. The thought of everyone moving ahead with their lives while he remained stuck in an unhealthy space deeply unsettled him. He decided to drop the habit before it turned into a serious issue.

On the work front, Vivek was last seen as a contestant in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, showcasing another side of his personality through dance.
