The first season of The Traitors wrapped up on July 3, delivering a finale that no one quite saw coming. The 10-episode game of strategy, betrayal, and alliances took sharp turns in its final moments, leaving fans stunned as Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerged victorious. Hosted by Karan Johar, the show had steadily built a loyal viewership, and its dramatic ending sparked a storm of reactions across social media.

While both winners celebrated lifting the trophy, reactions online were sharply divided. Some viewers hailed Uorfi’s unpredictable moves in the last stretch, while others felt their favorite contestants were robbed of a deserving win. The most consistent sentiment online was disbelief over Nikita Luther’s win. Many claimed she hadn’t made much of an impression through the show and yet walked away with the title.

One comment summed up the mood when a viewer wrote, “Uorfi is fine, but Nikita winning The Traitors show? For doing nothing. It’s like MC Stan winning Bigg Boss.” Another disappointed fan shared, “Genuinely felt bad for @Puravjha1. It would have been the perfect ending if he actually won. Seems fate left his side and stood by Uorfi just for that last episode.”

Fans also debated the performances of other players, with a viewer listing their own ranking of favorites, “You are telling me that Uorfi and Nikita won the show 😐🤡 when there was Approva and Purav 😭 For me Best Traitors: Elnaaz, Purav. Best Innocents: Approva, Jannat.”

Uorfi Javed’s Powerful Response to Online Hate

Amid this uproar, Uorfi Javed found herself at the receiving end of sharp trolling and hate messages. Uorfi didn’t stay silent. She took to Instagram and posted screenshots of some of the cruel messages that flooded her inbox following the finale. In a powerful note, she addressed the criticism and the toxic mindset behind it.

She wrote, “When you don’t like something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word. Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show.” She called out the hypocrisy and double standards that followed her every move.

Continuing her message, she added, “Imagine being so petty that when your favourite player doesn’t win you resort to abusing and threatening. These are the most decent ones I uploaded.” Uorfi acknowledged that hate has always followed her and made it clear she wasn’t about to let this incident shake her spirit. “No matter what I do, people just love hating and abusing. Harsh ko na nikalti toh pyaar mein andhi, Harsh ko nikal diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater. Hate has never stopped me before, it never will now.”

But her comment section flooded with support. The OG Traitor Purav Jha commented, “Wtf?? Tu enjoy kar darling you are winner mat dhyan de ❤️” Arjun Bijlani wrote, “Sad . Ur doing just fine . Keep moving”.

Whether or not Uorfi’s win was fair in everyone’s eyes, it undeniably ensured that The Traitors ended on a note people won’t stop talking about anytime soon.
