Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar recently left their fans in shock with heartbreaking news. The much-loved television couple, known for their warmth and real bond, opened up about a serious health battle that Dipika is currently facing. It began when Dipika complained of discomfort in her upper abdomen, thinking it was a minor issue. What followed was an unimaginable revelation.
Doctors soon discovered a tumour in her liver, and it wasn’t just any tumour. It was the size of a tennis ball. Dipika chose to share this news personally with her followers through a heartfelt Instagram post. She wrote, “walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out its a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then Finding out that the tumour is Second stage Malignant (Cancerous) “
Initially, doctors had planned an urgent surgery to remove the tumour. But complications arose when an infection was detected in Dipika’s body, delaying the procedure. Despite this setback, Dipika and her family stayed hopeful. Shoaib made sure to keep everyone updated and requested prayers from fans, relatives, and well-wishers.
Finally, the much-awaited surgery was scheduled. It turned out to be far more grueling than anyone could have expected. Last night, Shoaib Ibrahim informed followers that Dipika underwent a 14-hour-long surgery. He later shared an update about the operation’s outcome and her current condition. In his words, “Hi everyone, Sorry I couldn’t update you last night, it was a long surgery. She was in OT for 14 hrs. But Alhamdulillah, everything went well. Dipi is currently in the ICU. She’s in some pain, but she’s stable and doing okay. Thank you all dil se for your love, prayers, and support it truly means a lot. I will update you all once she’s out of the ICU. Thank you once again. Keep praying for her.”
For now, Dipika remains under strict medical supervision in the ICU. The medical team is closely monitoring her condition, managing post-surgery pain, and ensuring no further complications arise. Shoaib has promised to update everyone once Dipika moves out of intensive care and begins her recovery process.
