Popular Star Plus drama Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is currently undergoing a series of major transitions, keeping fans glued to their screens. With Vaibhavi Hankare’s recent exit and Bhavika Sharma making a powerful return as Savi, yet another big change is on the horizon. Sanam Johar, who plays the pivotal role of Ruturaj, is reportedly set to exit the show.
A source close to the production revealed exclusively to Times of India TV, “New storylines are being introduced with Savi’s return. With that, Ruturaj’s track will come to an end, and Sanam Johar will no longer be a part of the ongoing plot.”
This change comes just months after Sanam Johar made his fiction debut on Indian television with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Speaking earlier about his journey, he had said, “It is my debut in fiction TV, and I consider it a huge responsibility to carry forward the legacy of such a popular show. I’m committed to being true to my character and giving it my best.”
Currently, the show features a gripping twist involving Savi and Neil mourning the tragic and mysterious deaths of their respective partners, Rajat and Tejaswini, in a shocking car accident. The twist has sparked curiosity, especially as both characters are left wondering why their partners were together in the same vehicle during the fatal crash.
Adding to the emotional intensity of the show, Bhavika Sharma, who is back as Savi, shared her heartfelt thoughts about returning:
“Coming back to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin feels like coming home. Savi’s journey has always resonated with strength, love, and vulnerability. I’m grateful to reconnect with a role that changed my life.”
Fans have responded enthusiastically to Bhavika’s comeback and are eagerly awaiting how the new chapters unfold—especially with Sanam Johar’s exit creating more room for fresh drama.
