Rupali Ganguly’s popular TV show Anupamaa continues to stay in the spotlight. The serial remains one of the top-rated daily soaps on Indian television. Recently, a new promo of the show was released, hinting at a fresh chapter in Anupamaa’s life. The story has taken an emotional turn, leaving fans heartbroken for the lead character.

The current track focuses on Anupamaa’s move to Mumbai after a tragic incident changed her life forever. Aryan passed away on the second day of his marriage. His death was caused by a drug overdose. Anupamaa was aware of his addiction but trusted him when he promised to quit and tell his family about it. Unfortunately, before Aryan could come clean, he lost his life.

Following his death, the entire blame fell on Anupamaa. Everyone accused her of hiding the truth. Prem, Rahi, Mahi, and the Kothari family turned against her. Even the Shah family severed all ties with Anupamaa. She was left completely alone, abandoned by the people she once called her own.

With nowhere else to go, Anupamaa decided to shift to Mumbai. In the city of dreams, she started living alone, away from those painful memories. This new journey is expected to bring both challenges and discoveries for her character.

Amidst all this, Rupali Ganguly opened up about the show’s fresh storyline and how her personal life has shaped her career. The actress shared that her husband Ashwin Verma and son Rudransh have been her strongest pillars. Talking about motherhood, Rupali expressed how becoming a mother changed everything for her. She recalled how the happiness of holding her son for the first time made her want to enjoy every little moment of his childhood.

Rupali shared that for years, her world revolved around her family. Acting took a backseat as she focused on raising Rudransh. But when Anupamaa came into her life, it stirred the artist in her once again. She explained that it was her family who gave her the courage to say yes to Rajan Shahi’s vision. According to Rupali, “It is the husband and the family who give you the wings to your dreams.”

Rupali considers herself fortunate that Ashwin and Rudransh stood by her side. Their constant support helped her bring Anupamaa to life on screen. She expressed her gratitude towards producer Rajan Shahi, calling Anupamaa his journey. In her words, “I’m blessed that he has chosen me to walk on her path.”

Speaking about Anupamaa’s new journey in Mumbai, Rupali shared that it is a story of self-discovery. This chapter is about Anupamaa finding love for herself, possibly losing her endless selflessness but without becoming selfish. She said the character would experience the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another, while holding on to her identity.

Rupali revealed she was excited to portray this new phase. According to her, this part of the story is extra special as it unfolds in Mumbai, a city close to both Anupamaa’s and Rupali’s heart. The actress felt this journey might finally lead Anupamaa to what she has been missing, herself.
