The journey of MTV Roadies XX reached its dramatic finale, with Kushal Tanwar, fondly called Gullu, lifting the trophy and securing his name in the show’s history. Hartaaj Gill, who fought till the end, stood as the first runner-up, missing the victory by a narrow margin of just 32 seconds. The defeat weighed heavy on Hartaaj’s heart, and in a recent exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, he spoke openly about the heartbreak, his experience on the show, and the bonds he built along the way.

Hartaaj didn’t hold back his disappointment. What stung the most for him was a decision made during the finale task. Hartaaj said, “Everyone on social media is saying what happened with me was unfair. Why did Gullu get a chance to see my performance while I didn’t get to see anything? The show wanted Gullu to win and that’s why they planned it all. I’m very disappointed.” The hurt was visible in his words, as he expressed how unfair the finale arrangement felt to him.

He also spoke about a puzzle task, initially part of the finale, which mysteriously vanished. According to Hartaaj, the task, which would’ve tested contestants’ mental abilities, was removed. He shared his frustration, adding, “There was a puzzle task as well. However, they removed everything where brain has to be used because they knew if that would be the case, then I’ll win it. I feel extremely bad because it’s just so unfair. This shouldn’t have happened.”

While Hartaaj carried his disappointment, Elvish Yadav, the winning gang leader of Roadies XX, took a moment to reflect on his own journey. Known widely as a digital star, Elvish stepped into the world of Roadies without any prior experience. He admitted, “My journey as a gang leader on Roadies XX was amazing. Initially, I didn’t know what to do or how to play, but my fellow gang leaders helped me, and I learnt a lot from them. I came on the show only for the love of the audience and didn’t expect to win. However, now that I’ve won, it feels amazing.”

Elvish also spoke about Kushal’s performance throughout the season. Despite being eliminated once, Kushal returned as a wildcard and made his presence felt with each opportunity that came his way. Elvish appreciated his consistency and spirit, saying, “Gullu didn’t get many chances on the show. He was evicted when he first came and later made a wildcard entry. However, he did very well whenever he got a chance, and according to me, he’s a very deserving winner. If Yogesh from my gang had won, I’d be equally happy.”

As the curtains fall on this season, the emotional aftertaste remains. Hartaaj’s heartbreak and Elvish’s triumph remind viewers that in reality television, outcomes aren’t just about winning or losing they’re about the stories etched along the way. Roadies XX, true to its reputation, delivered another season of drama, grit, and unforgettable moments.
