Shweta Tiwari’s personal life has often grabbed attention. Now, her ex-husband Raja Chaudhary has made fresh claims about their past. In a recent interview, Raja accused Shweta of being in an extramarital relationship during their marriage. He alleged that she was involved with her Kasautii Zindagii Kay co-star Cezanne Khan.
According to Raja, this incident should have ended their marriage much earlier. “Divorce joh humara 2012 mai hua hai voh 2003 mai hi ho jaana chahiye tha,” he said, pointing to the betrayal he claims to have discovered years before they officially separated.
He shared a particular incident that made him question their relationship. Raja recalled a day when he needed some documents from a car. That vehicle was being used by Shweta at the time. When he reached her shooting location, he was surprised to see the car arrive with Cezanne’s driver. Shweta too was in the same car, sitting beside the driver. According to Raja, the shooting had been scheduled since morning, but neither of them had reached the set by then.
He admitted that, at first, he brushed off the suspicion. Raja believed they might have gone out for a meeting. He mentioned that there was trust in their relationship, and since Cezanne was her co-star, he thought it could be work-related. However, with time, doubts started to grow.
Raja went on to claim that whenever he raised questions about her whereabouts or behavior, he would be labelled an alcoholic. He stated that instead of getting answers, he was insulted and ridiculed. He alleged that for the sake of their daughter, Palak, he chose to remain silent. Despite the accusations and the pain, he endured everything because he didn’t want his daughter to suffer.
He also shared that while the divorce legally happened in 2012, emotionally, it was over much earlier for him. Raja mentioned that during the divorce proceedings, he came to know more things about Shweta that hurt him even further. He didn’t specify what those were but hinted that they added to his heartbreak.
The actor accused his ex-wife of making him the villain in public. He felt that she projected an image of being the victim while tarnishing his name. Raja implied that his flaws were exaggerated while Shweta’s mistakes were hidden. He remarked how tough it was for him to endure this one-sided narrative for years.
The couple’s marriage had begun in 1998 and ended officially in 2007. Their relationship was known to be turbulent, with several reports about fights and disagreements. Shweta had earlier spoken about facing physical and emotional abuse in that marriage. Raja, however, in this new interview, painted a different picture, focusing on the betrayal he claimed to have experienced.
