Khushi Mukherjee, known for her bold choices and striking presence on reality shows like Splitsvilla and Balveer Returns, has once again found herself at the center of a storm. The actress, who often makes headlines for her daring outfits, recently grabbed attention when a video of her in a revealing ensemble went viral. Social media exploded with reactions, with many expressing disapproval of her fashion statement. Among those to voice their opinion was actress Falaq Naaz, who didn’t hold back while comparing Khushi to the internet’s fashion rebel, Uorfi Javed.
The discussion escalated when Falaq Naaz took to social media to share her thoughts. In a sharp remark, Falaq pointed out that Khushi should refrain from comparing herself to Uorfi Javed, claiming Uorfi’s creativity with fashion made her stand apart. Falaq didn’t mince her words and said, “Uorfi ko chalte phirte kisne nahi kaha ki chaddi pehenao isko.”
Not one to stay silent, Khushi Mukherjee responded in her own style. In a new video that surfaced online, she appeared in a traditional salwar-kameez, a noticeable departure from her usual bold looks. Dressed in a simple red kurta with a dupatta draped across her shoulder, she posed for the cameras, smiling broadly. Her caption, however, was laced with sarcasm. She said, “Dekhna aaj ke look pe bhi bura bolenge. Comments karne wale aaj ke look pe bhi bura bolenge. Kisi Kisi ko Naaz hoga.” Her pointed words made it clear she wasn’t going to let the negativity slide quietly.
Falaq Naaz had previously claimed that Uorfi’s eccentric wardrobe choices were original and inventive, often crafted from unexpected materials like plastic spoons, tyres, or pizza boxes. According to Falaq, that level of creativity set Uorfi apart from others who simply opted for revealing clothes without any artistic thought behind them.
Khushi Mukherjee, however, defended her sense of style. In a social media post, she clarified that her fashion inspirations came from global runway icons, Hollywood celebrities, and international influencers. She expressed her frustration over the constant judgment she faced and reminded people that she lived in a democratic country where she should have the freedom to wear what she pleased. She emphasized that her choices were personal and she owed no explanations to anyone.
For now, Khushi seems determined to walk her own path, regardless of criticism or approval. And if her recent appearance in a traditional outfit paired with a loaded caption is anything to go by, she’s not backing down anytime soon.
