Roadies XX recently crowned its champion, Kushal Tanwar, fondly known as Gullu, lifting the trophy while Hartaaj Gill secured the position of first runner-up. The intense finale stirred a mix of emotions, especially for Hartaaj, who later spoke openly about his experience.
For Hartaaj, the journey on the show was nothing short of a rollercoaster. Initially, he found himself in gang Elvish. However, things didn’t quite fall into place there. Hartaaj admitted that he never felt valued in that team. “For Elvish sir, Gullu was his number one priority and that’s okay,” he shared. This sidelining left Hartaaj disheartened, but his fate shifted during the auction when he was picked by Prince Narula. The move turned out to be a blessing. He confessed that joining gang Prince gave him a sense of belonging. “When I went to gang Prince, I felt better because I was recognised there and my work was seen,” he said.
Prince Narula’s decision to select Hartaaj over another contestant, Mannu, also left a lasting impression on him. It wasn’t just a choice but a recognition of his determination. “Prince sir chose me over Mannu because he knew my hunger for the game is more,” he expressed.
Recently, tensions between Prince Narula and Elvish Yadav have captured attention online, with fans and followers weighing in on their fallout. Hartaaj addressed this ongoing controversy with maturity, stating that both leaders are wise enough to resolve their issues independently. “The two are mature enough to sort things out between them,” he remarked, adding that targeting each other on podcasts or social media serves no purpose.
The finale, however, left a bitter taste for Hartaaj. He wasn’t satisfied with how the final task unfolded. From his perspective, the challenge lacked fairness and transparency. The task was originally meant to include a puzzle component, but this was allegedly scrapped at the last minute. Hartaaj believed this sudden change was made to tilt the advantage toward Gullu. “Why was it such a small task?” he questioned, explaining that the puzzle was removed because Gullu might not have performed well in that part. He added, “The task was designed in a way that he can win it. It’s so unfair.”
His disappointment didn’t end there. Hartaaj revealed that during the finale, Gullu was allowed to watch his performance while he had no opportunity to observe Gullu’s. This imbalance, according to him, was orchestrated to favour the eventual winner. He shared that fans on social media echoed his sentiments. “Everyone on social media is saying what happened with me was unfair,” he said. His frustration was evident as he reflected on how the situation was handled. “The show wanted Gullu to win, and that’s why they planned it all. I’m very disappointed. I feel extremely bad because it’s just so unfair. This shouldn’t have happened,” he expressed with visible hurt.
Despite the controversy and heartbreak, Hartaaj’s honesty and courage to voice his feelings have won him praise from fans who admired his journey, resilience, and unfiltered truth.
