A brand-new reality show is gearing up to make its way to television screens, and excitement is already in the air. Goriya Chali Gaon, an upcoming reality concept, has started creating quite a stir across social media platforms even before its official launch.

The show is reportedly inspired by the Marathi reality hit Jau Bai Gavaat, which became a sensation in regional television. The concept is simple yet intriguing. A group of urban actresses and influencers will be transported to a remote village where they will live the life of a typical villager. Away from city lights and comfort zones, these glamorous personalities will perform daily chores, learn rural skills, and adjust to a lifestyle completely different from their own. It promises to be both entertaining and humbling.

The production will be helmed by Endemol Shine, a name associated with some of the biggest reality television properties in India. Adding to the excitement, Rannvijay Singha, known for his charismatic hosting skills, has reportedly been finalized as the host. Though no official statement has been issued by the channel or the production house yet.

As with any reality show, the buzz around potential participants has been intense. Speculation is rife that actresses like Aamna Sharif, Krishna Shroff, Nyrraa Banerji, Aishwarya Khare, Anjum Fakih, and Anita Hassanandani have been approached. Popular social media personalities like the Chinki-Minki twins and Dolly Javed also seem to be in talks. While these names continue to trend online, neither the stars nor the producers have made any formal announcements.

Interestingly, Pooja Gor’s name too entered the rumored list of contestants. However, in a conversation with India Forums, the actress seemed surprised by the news. She said, “I am hearing about it for the first time from you. I have no clue what that show is or that such a show is getting made.”

The format of Goriya Chali Gaon promises a break from typical urban-centric reality content. It’s being positioned as a show that highlights the beauty and simplicity of rural life. Viewers will watch these modern divas trade luxury for simplicity and see who adapts best. From fetching water from wells to cooking on mud stoves, from working in farms to participating in folk traditions, contestants will tackle tasks that define everyday village living.

Much like its Marathi counterpart, Jau Bai Gavaat, this Hindi adaptation is expected to culminate in a winner who will be chosen based on her resilience, hard work, and sincerity. In the Marathi version, Ramsha Farooqui lifted the winner’s trophy and walked away with a cash prize of ₹20 lakh. Ankita and Sanskruti secured the first and second runner-up positions respectively.

With so much chatter around Goriya Chali Gaon, audiences are eagerly waiting for the makers to officially announce the final cast and premiere date. For now, only bits and pieces of information have surfaced through industry insiders and social media leaks.
