The new season of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain starring Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi has opened with drama, emotion, and layered characters. The story introduces Bhagyashree, an ambitious, self-made woman in Delhi. She owns a successful cosmetic brand, Tatwa, and lives alone with her pet dog Kaddu. In a society where being a single, independent woman draws constant judgment, Bhagyashree faces harsh remarks and unwanted attention daily. Yet, she remains focused on her work, brushing aside everything else.
Her closest friend, Nitya, keeps urging her to meet new people. Bhagyashree, however, has her reasons to stay guarded. A past relationship left her heartbroken, and she’s in no mood to take risks again. She once loved a man her conservative South Indian family disapproved of. Ignoring their wishes, she left home to be with him. Life, however, had other plans. The man she trusted walked away, leaving her alone in an unfamiliar city. Her parents still believe she’s happily married, unaware of the betrayal she suffered.
A call from her father shakes Bhagyashree emotionally. He shares that the family is coming to Delhi for a wedding and insists she join them with her husband. The news leaves her anxious. She isn’t ready to reveal the truth. Pretending everything is perfect is the only option she sees.
Meanwhile, Rishabh, a cheerful, kind-hearted man, enters the picture. In search of work, he gets a job at Tatwa, thanks to a friend. His enthusiasm shines through as he prepares for his first day, unaware of how closely his path will soon intertwine with Bhagyashree’s.
Trouble brews in the society where Bhagyashree lives. Chaddha, a middle-aged resident, takes a disturbing interest in her. When her refrigerator breaks down, he arrives under the pretense of helping. Grateful at first, Bhagyashree soon notices his intentions and warns him to stay away. She tells him clearly that if he misbehaves again, she’ll expose him in front of everyone.
But Chaddha crosses a line. While Bhagyashree tends to Kaddu, he slyly sends inappropriate messages from her phone to his own number. Later, he shows these messages to other society members, twisting the story to malign her character. The gossip spreads quickly, and people begin whispering behind her back.
Nitya, seeing the damage escalating, suggests a drastic idea. She tells Bhagyashree to consider marriage before her parents arrive to avoid further complications. A matchmaker named Rita aunty finds a prospective groom. Bhagyashree agrees to meet him, desperate to maintain her parents’ illusion of her married life.
On the other side, Rishabh heads to Tatwa for his appointment letter. The paper requires Bhagyashree’s signature, so he rushes to find her. They end up at the same café. A hilarious mix-up occurs when Bhagyashree assumes Rishabh is the man sent by Rita aunty. The confusion clears soon after, and she realizes he’s an employee from her office.
In the upcoming episodes, Rishabh will quietly hope for Bhagyashree’s happiness. Meanwhile, Chaddha’s viciousness won’t stop. He plans to leak the fake chats online, aiming to destroy Bhagyashree’s reputation. When confronted, Bhagyashree won’t stay silent. In a moment of anger, she’ll slap Chaddha. The act, though justified, pushes him to plot revenge even deeper. His next move will be to drag her down publicly, attempting to prove her characterless in front of the world.
The show captures real-life struggles women often face – judgment, harassment, and the burden of upholding appearances for family. The drama continues to unfold, one storm at a time.
