Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar have always shared glimpses of their beautiful life with fans. From joyful family moments to personal milestones, their bond has inspired many. It all began with what seemed like a regular stomach ache. Shoaib was in Chandigarh at the time when Dipika first complained of discomfort. She visited their family doctor, who prescribed an antibiotic. Initially, it appeared to help. However, within a few days, around Shoaib’s father’s birthday, the pain returned. This time it felt different, more intense, prompting them to dig deeper.
A blood test was done, which revealed an infection. The doctor advised a CT scan for a clearer picture. What the scan showed was alarming. Shoaib described it as a large tumor in Dipika’s left liver, comparing its size to a tennis ball. The sudden discovery shook the couple, and they immediately got admitted to the hospital for further tests.
Shoaib and Dipika spent three days at the hospital, going through rounds of medical investigations. They were determined to get to the bottom of it. The initial relief came when reports suggested that the tumor didn’t appear to be cancerous. Yet, Shoaib mentioned that a few important tests were still pending. He shared the doctor’s advice that surgery would be necessary. The tumor had to be removed to avoid any future risk.
They are now in the process of consulting specialists and completing the remaining tests before finalizing the date for surgery. In his vlog, Shoaib opened up about the mental and emotional toll this has taken on them. The couple’s son, Ruhaan, is still being breastfed and has never been apart from Dipika. Managing a toddler under such stressful circumstances added to their struggle.
Shoaib recalled how, even before thinking about herself, Dipika’s first reaction after seeing the report was concern for Ruhaan. Her motherly instincts made her worry about how he would manage without her presence. Shoaib admitted this phase has tested their strength like never before.
Yet, amidst all this, the couple is trying to stay strong. Shoaib credited the support of family members and close friends who stood by them since day one. He assured everyone that they are taking the best medical advice possible and following every precaution to ensure Dipika’s complete recovery.
