Dipika Kakar’s health has been a growing concern for her family and fans alike over the past few days. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, recently opened up about the unsettling situation and shared a health update with everyone who’s been sending their wishes.
It started when Shoaib revealed that Dipika was diagnosed with a tumor in her left liver. The news came as a shock to many, especially since the couple had kept it private until tests confirmed the situation. According to Shoaib, the tumor was nearly the size of a tennis ball, raising concerns about its nature and whether it might be cancerous. Plans were made for several tests and a possible surgery, but things took an unexpected turn.
Before Dipika could undergo the scheduled tests, she developed a sudden high fever. It shot up to 103.9 degrees, leaving the family worried. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, halting the preparations for her surgery. Shoaib shared this difficult moment in a vlog posted on May 16, explaining the severity of the situation and requesting prayers from well-wishers.
A few days later, on May 21, Dipika underwent a crucial PET scan. This test was necessary to determine the status of the tumor and to rule out any serious complications before moving ahead with surgery.
Amidst these testing days, Shoaib’s family received a moment of joy. His sister, Saba Ibrahim, and her husband Khalid Niaz, welcomed their first child on May 22. A baby boy arrived into their lives, bringing a sliver of happiness to an otherwise tense atmosphere. However, Dipika and Shoaib could not be there at the hospital to celebrate the arrival. Dipika remained hospitalized at the time, focusing on stabilizing her health.
In a heartfelt note shared through his Instagram story, Shoaib updated everyone about Dipika’s condition. He wrote, “To update u all about dipika’s health. Her Fever is under control and she is back home… Mostly her surgery is scheduled in the next week if all goes as planned. Please keep her in your prayers. As you all are aware Saba& Khalid are blessed with a baby boy… Please shower the newborn baby & Saba with all your blessings!”
While Dipika is now home with her loved ones, the journey isn’t over yet. The surgery, which had to be postponed, might finally happen next week, depending on how her body responds over the next few days. The family remains hopeful and is leaning on prayers and positive thoughts from friends, fans, and well-wishers.
As of now, Dipika continues to recover at home with Shoaib by her side. The family is holding on to hope, preparing for the next step, and praying for a smooth surgery and a healthy future ahead.
