Abhishek Kumar has quickly made a name for himself in the entertainment world. From fictional dramas to reality shows, he’s proved his versatility time and again. After his impressive run on Bigg Boss 17, Abhishek’s popularity shot up, opening new doors for his career. The actor, who has built a loyal fanbase with his charm and sincerity, recently revealed a chapter of his journey that many didn’t know about.

Abhishek spoke about a major opportunity he had to walk away from. After Bigg Boss 17 ended, things moved fast for him. He was offered a film and had even signed it. Abhishek revealed, “Maine kisi ko nahi bataya. Main Bigg Boss ke nikalte hi maine ek film sign kar li thi, workshop bhi ho gayi thi, mera cheque amount bhi aa gaya tha, mera script bhi aa gayi thi, mere pass acting teacher bhi aate the muje sikhane. Mai zyada nahi bataunga. Acha production tha, achi cast thi. Sab acha tha.”

It was a big project backed by a reputed production house with a strong cast attached. Everything seemed perfect, but fate had different plans for the actor. Despite trying to work out the dates, things didn’t fall in place. The actor admitted, “Jaha humara shoot tha vaha ki dates mil nahi rahi toh vaha ki dates aage badh gayi. Aur voh dates meri Khatron ke sath clash ho gayi. Khatron mai chhod nahi sakta tha.”

Abhishek also shared how he had approached the film’s makers, hoping they could adjust the schedule to accommodate his reality show. But the production team wasn’t able to shift dates. Though it wasn’t the outcome he hoped for, Abhishek took it in stride. He confessed that letting go of this film did affect him emotionally. It was the only project so far that left him disappointed.

Speaking about how he processed those emotions, Abhishek said he eventually chose to focus on the positive side of the situation. He added, “Yeh ek project tha jiske liye muje bura laga tha. But fir maine aisa socha ki koi agar mere baare mei itna bhi sochta hai ki ‘Isse Bollywood cast kar sakte hai’ voh bhi mere liye bohot badi baat hai.”

The actor went on to clarify that apart from this incident, he has always been particular about the projects he takes up. According to him, every show and music video he has worked on so far has been successful. His decisions are guided by quality over quantity, and he prefers taking on projects that excite him rather than signing back-to-back work.

Currently, Abhishek is entertaining audiences in Laughter Chefs 2, where his playful side is on display. Simultaneously, he is also a part of a new television drama titled Tu Haii Aashiiki. Both projects showcase different shades of his talent, proving yet again why he’s considered one of the most promising young faces in the industry.
