Armaan Malik, the popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant, is once again in the spotlight. The influencer shared a video on his Instagram, expressing his concerns about personal safety and the well-being of his family. He revealed that he’s been receiving constant threats and believes it’s necessary to take serious steps for protection.
In the now-deleted video, Armaan made an emotional appeal to the Punjab Police. He mentioned how he had applied for an arms license multiple times but was denied on each occasion. According to him, the rejection was because of an ongoing legal case against him. Armaan claimed that the case was entirely baseless and is currently being dealt with in court. He stressed his trust in the judicial system and said, “I have complete faith in our judiciary that, in the end, truth will prevail.”
The content creator didn’t hold back while explaining the danger he feels. He expressed that as a husband and a father, it’s his responsibility to protect his loved ones. The fear of potential harm has reportedly been weighing heavy on him. He explained that his intention isn’t to create trouble but to safeguard his family from the threats they’ve been facing.
Armaan shared that he’s been active on social media for a long time, mostly focusing on family-friendly content. However, despite this, he has been at the receiving end of life-threatening messages. He stated through his caption that people have threatened to harm him, his family, and take away everything he values. He wrote that it was regretful to publicly admit this situation but felt it was important to address.
The influencer also clarified that he hasn’t remained silent or passive in the face of these threats. He has reportedly approached the authorities several times, filing complaints and seeking assistance. Legal actions and official applications were submitted, yet the sense of insecurity hasn’t disappeared. The fear, according to him, still follows him and his loved ones everywhere.
Armaan further added that he feels helpless, yet holds onto his self-respect and dignity. In his appeal, he said, “This is not a rebellious plea, but the appeal of a helpless yet self-respecting citizen who simply wants that he and his family may live in safety.”
The backlash online was swift and intense, leading him to eventually delete the video from his account.
Even though the clip was removed, it had already sparked conversations across social media platforms. People debated whether public figures should openly request firearms and if such matters should be handled privately with authorities. Armaan’s name began trending again, not for his videos or reality show stint but for this unexpected controversy.
The situation remains tense, with no confirmation yet on whether his request for an arms license will be reconsidered.
