Archana Puran Singh returned to the buzzing sets of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The comedy favorite, now in its third season, made a much-awaited comeback on Netflix India, with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan gracing the premiere episode as the first guest. While fans eagerly tuned in to catch the banter on screen, Archana offered her followers a rare behind-the-scenes peek through a vlog she posted on her YouTube channel this week.
The vlog captured the lively atmosphere of Film City, where the popular show is shot. This time, Archana wasn’t alone. She was joined by her husband, actor Parmeet Sethi, and their two sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan. Adding a sweet personal twist to the day was Archana’s assistant, Bhagyashree, who had no idea that she would soon come face-to-face with Salman Khan himself. The family plotted a little surprise for her, pretending that only lookalikes of Salman would be present on set.
During the drive to Film City, Archana shared how tight security had been ramped up around the area due to Salman’s presence. Her own car was stopped by the added security detail. Salman, facing multiple threats to his life from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s group in recent months, arrived surrounded by his personal security team. Despite the heavy protection, the actor seemed relaxed and cheerful, greeting Kapil Sharma and his team with warmth.
Inside the studio, Archana quickly took her familiar seat beside Navjot Singh Sidhu, who returned to the show this season after a long hiatus. Their easy camaraderie was evident as cameras rolled and jokes flew. Meanwhile, Parmeet and their sons explored the set. The vlog captured Parmeet jokingly likening the show’s control room to something out of a high-stakes mission, saying, “This looks like a NASA operation.”
In one of the lighter moments, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan playfully squabbled over a Netflix goodie bag handed to their mother. Both were eager to claim their share, tearing into the bag’s contents and quickly deciding which items belonged to whom.
Back inside the studio, Bhagyashree was being secretly recorded by the family as Salman entered. When she finally realized that it was truly him and not a duplicate, her expression was priceless. The cameras caught every second of her disbelief and joy.
Once filming wrapped up, Salman stayed back to interact with the cast and guests. Archana introduced him to Aaryamann and Ayushmaan, who admitted they had recently caught a special screening of Andaz Apna Apna, one of Salman’s cult classics. The actor surprised them by revealing he had watched some of their family vlogs. He even mentioned, “I’ve seen your vlog with Sudesh Lehri,” leaving them thrilled.
The vlog also showed the family catching up with Sidhu. Amused at how much Ayushmaan resembled his father, Sidhu quipped at the uncanny similarity. The family ended their eventful day by retreating to Archana’s luxurious vanity van, chatting about the episode and teasing each other over the surprises of the day.
