Archana Puran Singh, a beloved name in the world of television and cinema, recently handled an unpleasant social media remark with her trademark wit and warmth. The veteran actress, currently on the road to recovery from a serious hand injury, faced an accusation from a troll questioning the legitimacy of her condition. Unfazed, Archana chose humor over anger, delivering a response that won hearts.
The incident stemmed from her recent pasta-tasting vlog, a casual family video featuring her husband, actor Parmeet Sethi, and their sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamaan. During the video, a viewer left a comment implying that her injury was staged for digital content. Archana, never one to let such remarks slide, decided to address it directly. She quoted the comment, saying, “Someone wrote, ‘Archana ji aapka haath toh pehle hi thik hogaya tha ya shayad toota hi nahi hoga… aap aise hi content create karne ke liye ye sab lagake rakhte ho.’” With a smile, she replied to the accusation, “Itne bure din nahi aaye hain hamare.”
Archana’s injury wasn’t a minor mishap but a painful accident that occurred while filming Toaster, a movie produced by Patralekhaa and featuring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. The incident left her with a fractured hand, requiring surgery and wires to be inserted for stabilization. Though the plaster had since been removed, she still sported bandages and had wires inside her hand as part of her ongoing treatment.
Recalling the traumatic day, Archana shared that Sanya Malhotra had witnessed the accident. She remembered Sanya telling her, “Mere aankhon ke samne aapka haath toota.” Even Patralekhaa, visibly shaken by the incident, reportedly broke down on set. In her classic humorous style, Archana summed up the ordeal by saying, “Maine toh khoon, paseena, haddi bhi diye iss film ke liye.”
The vlog wasn’t all serious though. True to their spirited family dynamic, Parmeet Sethi lightened the mood with a playful remark before one of her hospital visits. He joked, “Tere haath ka aaj unboxing hoga,” referring to the scheduled removal of the wires from her hand. Archana, known for her resilience, faced the procedure bravely, even as pain persisted. She mentioned that the doctor had advised her to remain calm through the discomfort, a suggestion she followed with quiet strength.
Her fans and followers appreciated the way she turned a distasteful comment into a moment of lightness and connection. It proved once again that Archana is not only a seasoned performer but also a woman of strength and heart.
