Anupamaa, the beloved television show starring Rupali Ganguly, continues to rule hearts. However, tragedy nearly struck recently when a massive fire broke out on the show’s set at Film City, Mumbai. The incident sent shockwaves through the television fraternity and fans alike.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the mishap. Soon after the incident, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) stepped in. Their President, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, openly criticized the makers, officials at Mumbai Labour Commission, and Film City’s managing director for neglecting fire safety. He demanded strict action and appealed to Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to intervene.

Amid growing concerns, the production house Director’s Kut Productions, led by Rajan Shahi, issued an official statement. They reassured the public that there were no casualties and even the animals present on the set were unharmed. It was also clarified that no shooting was taking place at the time of the fire.

Rupali Ganguly, who has become the face of Anupamaa, took to social media to share her thoughts. The actress thanked everyone for the love and support pouring in during this difficult time. In an emotional post, she expressed her connection with the set. “That was once my second home, my karmbhoomi and a sacred space I considered a temple, now stands still, but not broken,” she wrote.

Rupali credited producer Rajan Shahi for his unwavering leadership. She reflected on how even moments of loss could fuel resilience. She added, “With Rajan ji’s steady leadership, l’m reminded that even a setback can serve as a springboard – one that fuels us to rise, rebuild, and pour our hearts into what comes next.”

She acknowledged the miracle of having no casualties. “What truly matters are the lives that were saved. We are deeply grateful to the Almighty – there were no casualties, and all our fur babies are safe,” she said.

The actress also applauded her entire production team for ensuring the show didn’t suffer. “Team DKP and the crew members of Anupamaa, your commendable efforts in not letting the shooting halt even for a single day is applaud worthy,” she remarked.

Rupali extended her gratitude to the channel as well. Star Plus, the broadcaster of Anupamaa, stood firmly behind the team throughout the ordeal

Rupali ended her message on a hopeful note, referring to the spirit of her character. “As Anupamaa always rises like a phoenix from the ashes … so shall we. With folded hands, thank you again,” she signed off.

The team’s determination to move forward without delay highlights the indomitable spirit of Indian television. While the set may need rebuilding, the heart of Anupamaa beats stronger than ever.
