Ajaz Khan has landed in fresh controversy after a video from his latest reality show House Arrest, streaming on the Ullu App, spread like wildfire on social media. The actor, known for his past stints in reality television and outspoken nature, is once again at the center of a storm, this time for content that many have labeled offensive and degrading.
The viral clip, taken from an episode of the ongoing show, features Ajaz instructing contestants to demonstrate different Kamasutra-inspired s*x positions on screen. What was meant to be part of the show’s concept instantly backfired, sparking outrage across platforms. Viewers were left stunned at the explicit nature of the segment, with sharp criticism pouring in not just from the public but also from political leaders.
Social media was soon filled with angry reactions. Several users expressed disbelief over how such content was being produced and made accessible. One comment read, “There is a show called House Arrest hosted by Ajaz Khan. In this show, girls are asked to remove their bras and panties. What is the Information and Technology Ministry doing? #HouseArrest.”
The uproar soon escalated beyond social media. Prominent political figures took notice of the controversial video and voiced their concern. BJP MP from Jharkhand’s Godda constituency, Nishikant Dubey, reacted by resharing the video on his social media handle. He tagged the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, making his stand clear. He wrote, “Yaha nahi chalega. Hamari committee iss par karwaai karegi.”
Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also stepped in. She shared the same video clip, highlighting a long-standing issue. In her post, she pointed out, “I have raised this in the Standing Committee that apps such as this, namely Ullu App and Alt Balaji, have managed to escape the I&B ministry’s ban on obscene content. I am still awaiting their reply.” Her remark underlined the need for stricter regulations for streaming platforms operating without oversight.
As the controversy gained momentum, demands for action against the show and its makers only grew louder. Many social media users called for an immediate ban on House Arrest, criticizing it for promoting explicit and vulgar material under the guise of entertainment.
Despite the mounting criticism, neither Ajaz Khan nor the producers of the show have issued an official statement addressing the backlash. The silence from their end has only fueled further anger, with netizens urging authorities to intervene without delay.
