Rachi Sharma recently opened up about her experience on the show during a chat with BollywoodLife. She gave a glimpse into the heart of her character. Rachi explained, “I am playing Meera Ghosh. She is very strong yet very sensitive and there is so much mystery in her life.” Meera’s backstory is marked by personal loss, having lost her mother at a young age. But rather than letting the tragedy break her spirit, Meera rises as the pillar of strength for her small family, which includes her baba and younger sister. For Meera, family means everything. She’s prepared to stand against the world for them.
Destiny, however, has different plans for Meera. Rachi hinted that Meera would soon find herself surrounded by unexplained and chilling experiences. Despite being human and prone to fear, her love for her family will give her the courage to face the unknown. She admitted she couldn’t reveal too much but teased that “Meera is also a human and she too will get scared, but love makes one stronger.” Rachi is confident viewers will connect with Meera, a character who, according to her, won’t leave the audience’s memory anytime soon.
Apart from discussing her role, Rachi spoke fondly about her working equation with co-star Hitesh Bharadwaj. “It’s been really good. Hitesh is very sincere and focused co-actor,” she said, adding that he brings heartfelt energy to every scene. Their on-set bond has translated into teamwork that extends beyond just delivering lines. Rachi revealed that before shooting important scenes, both actors sit down with the director, discuss their parts, and work on how to bring out the emotions naturally.
She appreciated Hitesh’s collaborative nature, mentioning, “I like this thing about him that before every scenes, he discusses it with me and we talk about how we will perform.” This mutual respect and involvement have made the entire journey enjoyable for her.
