Sonali Bendre Shocked to Discover She Was Pregnant During a Song Shoot – Years Later!

Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, known for her graceful screen presence and iconic roles in Hindi cinema, recently made a candid revelation that surprised fans. During a vlog session with celebrity choreographer Farah Khan, Sonali shared that she was unknowingly pregnant while filming the energetic Marathi song ‘Chham Chham Karta’ for the 2004 film ‘Aga Bai Arrecha!’.

Sonali, who began her career as a model and entered Bollywood with Aag (1994), gradually made her mark despite initial flops, especially with the 1996 film Diljale. While she’s best known for her Hindi film roles, she also ventured into Marathi cinema, performing a special item number in ‘Aga Bai Arrecha!’.

“I Had No Idea I Was Pregnant,” Says Sonali

In a lighthearted conversation during Farah Khan’s ongoing celebrity vlog series—while the duo prepared Kashmiri gucchi pulao—Farah recalled the songs they worked on together, including ‘Aankhon Mein Base Ho Tum’, ‘Duplicate’, and ‘Chham Chham Karta’.

To this, Sonali responded with a surprising confession:

“When I was shooting that song, I had no idea I was pregnant.”

Farah Khan then praised Sonali for her dedication, saying that she looked radiant and full of life on set—just like a true film heroine. Reflecting further, Sonali shared,

“Farah used to joke that I’d married a Punjabi and was enjoying meals at Goldie’s place. Later, I discovered I was actually pregnant.”

Farah amusingly noted that despite the early signs, no one realized Sonali was expecting. Remarkably, Sonali completed the full dance shoot without any knowledge of her pregnancy.

A Journey from Reel to Real Life

Sonali Bendre married filmmaker Goldie Behl in 2002, and in 2005, the couple welcomed their son. The actress continues to inspire fans with her strength and honesty—both on and off the screen.

This revelation adds to the long list of unexpected and heartwarming moments from Bollywood’s behind-the-scenes world.
