In a shocking incident, actress Shamim Akbar Ali, 32, was allegedly assaulted by an auto driver in front of her young daughter. The horrifying event took place on Mira Road when a casual disagreement over a stop location turned into a violent confrontation.
Argument Turned into Assault
According to police reports, Shamim Akbar Ali, a resident of Mira Road East, was returning home from her workout at a Kanakia-based gym. She had asked the auto driver to stop near her daughter’s school to pick her up. However, the driver got infuriated and began yelling at her.
When Shamim boarded the auto with her daughter, the driver continued arguing. Despite her request to head straight home, the driver became increasingly aggressive.
Auto Driver Twisted Her Hand
Speaking to the media, Shameem said, “I told him to stop near my daughter’s school, but he started abusing me. After I picked up my daughter, I told him to drive straight home, but as we reached my society’s gate, he lost his temper. He turned around and twisted my right hand violently.”
The actress immediately filed a police complaint. The officials have recorded her statement and noted down the rickshaw’s registration number. Police confirmed that a detailed investigation into the incident is currently underway.
