Bollywood’s popular music director Sachin Sanghvi, who earned fame for chartbusters from ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Bhediya’, has been arrested by the police after a young woman accused him of sexual assault under the pretense of marriage and a career opportunity in the music industry.
The Shocking Allegation
According to police officials, the complaint was filed after the victim alleged that Sanghvi contacted her via Instagram in February 2024, promising a role in his upcoming music album. The two reportedly exchanged phone numbers and soon began meeting in person.
The woman claimed that Sanghvi invited her to his studio multiple times, where he allegedly assaulted her, assuring her of marriage and professional advancement. Following a detailed investigation, Sanghvi was arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Known for Over 84 Film Soundtracks
Sachin Sanghvi is one of Bollywood’s most recognized music composers, having contributed to more than 84 films. Recently, he composed music for ‘Thama’ and ‘Param Sundari’, as well as Rajkummar Rao’s film ‘Malik’.
His compositions for ‘Stree 2’ received immense praise from fans and critics alike. However, the recent allegations have sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, putting his reputation and career at stake.
