In recent days, several misleading videos about Vrindavan’s revered saint Premanand Ji Maharaj have gone viral on social media. These reels falsely claim serious health issues or even his demise, shocking his followers across the country. But when the saint himself learned about this trend, his response left everyone stunned.
“This Is a Crime — You Will Suffer for It”
When one of his disciples informed him that people were making fake reels showing that “something bad” had happened to him, Premanand Ji Maharaj replied calmly yet firmly:
“We were not that serious, but some people exaggerated it too much.”
His disciple then mentioned that such fake videos were being made just for views and attention. To this, Maharaj warned:
“Those who spread fake news must understand that this is not just wrong — it’s a spiritual offense. When you spread lies that cause thousands to grieve, you become the reason for their sorrow. You will have to bear that sin. Views may give you money, but they can’t free you from this crime.”
“Don’t Play Games with Devotion”
Premanand Ji emphasized that devotion (Bhakti) is about faith and emotion, not manipulation for fame. He warned that such actions invite divine punishment:
“When people post fake reels on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, it hurts emotional devotees. That collective pain will return to you as punishment. When that happens, you won’t be able to handle it. Please, always share only truthful information.”
Concern Among Followers
For the past few weeks, Maharaj Ji’s followers have been deeply worried due to reports of his health issues. Many saints and devotees have visited him recently, which fueled rumors even further. But his latest statement serves as both reassurance and a strong message against misinformation.
