Renowned Gujarati film producer Mahesh Jirawala has been officially confirmed dead in the Air India plane crash that occurred on June 12 in the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad. Authorities had initially struggled to identify the deceased due to the severity of the crash. However, DNA testing has now verified Jirawala’s identity, bringing a tragic conclusion to the days of uncertainty.

Mahesh Jirawala was known for his contribution to the regional film industry, having backed several socially driven Gujarati films over the past two decades. His sudden demise has left a void in the creative community, with fans and colleagues expressing shock and grief.
