The world-famous Pushkar Animal Fair in Rajasthan is known for its grand livestock exhibitions, where people from across India gather to buy and sell unique breeds. But this year, the festive air turned tragic when a buffalo worth ₹21 crore suddenly fell ill and died — leaving thousands in disbelief.
The Buffalo That Drew Thousands Every Day
This extraordinary buffalo was one of the main attractions of the Pushkar Fair. Crowds thronged daily just to see it, fascinated by its massive size and value. Its owner had reportedly arranged special care, including personal attendants and tight security, due to its record-breaking worth.
Medical Team Rushed, But Couldn’t Save the Animal
According to local reports, the buffalo’s health deteriorated suddenly on Friday. A veterinary team from the Animal Husbandry Department immediately arrived to administer treatment. Despite all efforts, the animal could not be revived.
A viral video from the spot shows the heartbroken owner surrounded by people trying desperately to help — but it was too late.
Sneha Ullal Slams Cruelty Behind Animal Trade
After the video went viral on social media, actress Sneha Ullal condemned the alleged misuse of hormones and unethical animal treatment. She wrote,
“Use more hormones, more antibiotics, and growth boosters — go against nature, and then call that death ‘natural’. This is the filthy mindset of humans.”
Her comment sparked widespread discussion about the exploitation of animals for profit and fame.
Conspiracy Theories and Public Outrage
While some believe the death was a tragic accident, others allege foul play. Social media users suggested that the buffalo might have been deliberately harmed for insurance fraud. One comment read, “Imagine being worth ₹21 crore and still not escaping fate.” Another added, “Money can’t buy destiny — this is proof.”
The incident has now fueled debates over animal cruelty and the moral limits of commercial livestock trade.
