India’s beloved digital creator, Ashish Chanchlani, has taken a bold step beyond viral sketches and YouTube comedy into the world of long-format storytelling. His debut web series, ‘Ekaki’, is a horror-comedy thriller that blends fear, suspense, and humor — a challenging genre mix that perfectly fits Ashish’s natural talent for timing and emotion.
A 14-Month Creative Marathon
Sharing his experience, Ashish revealed the intense effort behind Ekaki:
“It was unlike anything I’ve ever done before. We spent around seven months in pre-production, 80 days shooting, and another seven months in post-production. It was tough, confusing at times, but truly rewarding.”
The journey, spanning over 14 months, tested his creativity and patience. Yet, it also brought him immense joy and pride.
“I’m not sure if I’d ever do something this intense again,” he laughed, “but I believe the hard work has paid off. I hope viewers love it as much as we loved creating it.”
From Creator to Director: A Multi-Role Challenge
With Ekaki, Ashish wore many hats — writer, director, producer, and actor — turning it into his most personal project to date. Recently released posters, featuring eerie visuals and dark humor, have already sparked massive curiosity among fans.
“Combining comedy and horror is no easy task,” Ashish said. “But that’s what makes Ekaki special — it’s unpredictable, emotional, and full of surprises.”
Exclusive Premiere Coming Soon
Produced under ACV Studios, Ekaki is set to premiere exclusively on YouTube later this year. The web series promises to deliver a never-seen-before experience — a thrilling blend of chills and chuckles that reflects months of dedication and creative passion.
As Ashish Chanchlani steps into the filmmaker’s chair, Ekaki marks not just a milestone in his career, but a defining moment in India’s digital entertainment scene.
