Stree 2 Box Office Collection: The much-anticipated film Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is poised to make a grand entrance at the box office on Thursday, August 15th. With impressive advance bookings, the film is on track to become the biggest Bollywood opener of the year, even two days before its release.

Stree 2 has already sold over 220,000 tickets on its first day, raking in ₹7.04 crore by Tuesday, August 13th, at noon. It is expected to soon surpass the advance sales records set by Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD, which both earned ₹8.60 crore from pre-sales.

Given the advance booking reports, it’s anticipated that Stree 2 will open with a record-breaking collection of ₹40 crore or more on its first day, a milestone that no one had predicted even a week ago.

Already a hit based on advance bookings, Stree 2 is expected to eclipse Fighter to become the biggest opener of 2024. This will mark the highest opening for a Hindi film this year, with Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD both previously recording ₹22.5 crore on their opening days. It will also be the biggest Bollywood opener for both Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

If spot bookings see even a slight increase on Thursday, the film’s opening day numbers could soar to ₹50 crore. The film’s success will then hinge on how well it is received by audiences and critics alike.

Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik and featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles, is riding high on the legacy of delivering rich content with strong performances. With positive word-of-mouth, the film could easily surpass ₹120 crore in its extended first weekend.
