According to the report of Fortune India, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the highest tax paying Indian celebrity giving RS 92 crore for the financial year 2024.
The actor collected over 2000 crores at the box office. He made his comeback in 2023 with three back-to-back hot movies ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Dunki’. He will be next seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘King’. According to the report, his daughter Suhana Khan will also start in the movie.
South superstar Thalapathy Vijay paid 80 crore as tax and is the second tax paying Indian celebrity. Vijay’s ‘GOAT’, directed by Venkat Prabhu, hit theatres on Thursday. Salman Khan gave a tax of 75 crore. He is in the third position. Fans are excited to see Salman Khan next in AR Murugadoss’s ‘Sikandar’. The film is set to release next Eid.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan contributed 71 crore as tax and is the fourth highest tax paying celebrity. The actor most recently featured in the blockbuster film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Cricketer Virat Kohli is the fifth highest tax paying celebrity giving 66 crore as tax. Kohli was followed by Ajay Devgn at sixth position, who paid RS 42 crore as tax. MS Dhoni paid RS 38 crore as tax. He is in the seventh position.
Famous bollywood actor Ranbeer Kapoor is in the eighth position paying 36 crore as tax. Both Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar gave 28 crore as tax. Kohli, Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar are the only three sports personalities who make it to the top 10 list.
Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly (RS 23 crore) and Hardik Pandya (RS 13 crore) are in the top 20 list. Comedian Kapil Sharma gave a tax of RS 26 crore. Other bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor (RS 20 crore), Shahid Kapoor (RS 14 crore) are also in the top 20 list. South Indian Superstar Mohanlal (RS 14 crore), Allu Arjun (RS 14 crore) featured on the list. Kiara Advani (RS 12 crore) is in the top 20 list.
