65-year-old Bollywood actress Sangita Bijlani, known for her past relationship with Salman Khan and her timeless charm, has once again made headlines — but this time, for a disturbing reason. A theft at her Pune farmhouse has left the actress deeply shaken, raising serious questions about security in the Pawna region.

“I Came to Pune to Demand Justice,” Says Sangita

Speaking to IANS during an event in Pune, Sangita revealed she had personally met Pune SP Sandeep Singh Gill to discuss the incident. “I came here specially to meet him and request a quick investigation. My farmhouse was robbed, and as a woman, I now feel unsafe in my own home,” she said.

The actress, who has been residing in the farmhouse for nearly 20 years, admitted that for the first time, she feels a sense of insecurity. “It’s not just about me,” she added, “many families live here with children and elderly members. The area needs to be made safer for everyone.”

CCTV, Patrolling, and Fire Safety — Sangita’s Plea for Action

Highlighting the lack of basic safety infrastructure, Sangita urged authorities to install CCTV cameras, increase night patrolling, and take strict action against miscreants. She also pointed out that there is no fire station nearby, meaning it could take three to four hours for a fire brigade to arrive in case of an emergency — a delay that could be disastrous.

July Robbery Still Unsolved

The theft reportedly took place in July, when thieves broke into her Pawna farmhouse, damaging doors, windows, security cameras, and even stealing appliances like the refrigerator, TV, and furniture. Despite lodging a police complaint, no significant action has been taken yet.

Sangita admitted she rarely visits the farmhouse now due to her father’s health, which may have led to less maintenance and security oversight.

Sangita’s Emotional Appeal

Ending her statement, the actress said, “I love that home, but today, it feels like a stranger’s place. I hope the authorities act before something worse happens.”
