Mouni Roy’s Shocking Revelation: Bollywood actress Mouni Roy is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming horror-comedy film The Bhootni, set to hit theatres on May 1. Amid promotions, Mouni opened up about a real-life horror incident that left her deeply shaken.

During a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni shared a shocking personal experience from her time in a small-town hotel. The actress recalled that someone had tried to break into her room in the middle of the night.

“I don’t remember the exact city, but it was a small town. Someone had actually stolen a key and was trying to open my hotel room door. Thankfully, I wasn’t alone—I was with my manager. The moment we realized something was wrong, we both started screaming,” she revealed.

Receptionist Gave Strange Explanation

Mouni further said that she and her manager immediately tried to contact the hotel receptionist, who gave an odd explanation.

“The receptionist casually said it might have been housekeeping. But I asked, ‘What kind of housekeeping tries to open a guest’s door without knocking or ringing the bell, especially at 12:30 in the night?’” Mouni added, clearly disturbed by the memory.

About The Bhootni
In The Bhootni, Mouni plays the titular role of a ghost named “Bhootni” who resides in a tree called Virgin. The movie, directed by Siddhant Kumar Sachdev, also stars Sanjay Dutt (as an exorcist), Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, and Asif Khan. Blending horror, comedy, and action, the film promises a unique theatrical experience when it releases on May 1.

Mouni Roy’s real-life horror encounter has added an unexpected layer of intrigue to the film’s promotional trail.
