The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has ordered cuts in the much-awaited film Housefull 5, removing a total of 11 seconds from the movie. According to reports, one of the cut scenes includes a sensual segment that was deemed inappropriate for a U/A certificate.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and featuring an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and others, the film was all set for release without any hiccups. However, the CBFC’s latest directive led to minor edits before the final approval.
Why Were Scenes Removed from ‘Housefull 5’?
Sources suggest that the CBFC found certain moments in the film too suggestive for general audiences. To align with the certification guidelines and avoid controversy, the filmmakers agreed to remove the specified portions.
A total of 11 seconds were trimmed, which included a sensual scene and some dialogue modifications to ensure the film remains suitable for a wider audience, including families.
Makers Cooperate to Avoid Release Delays
The production team behind Housefull 5 has reportedly accepted all recommended cuts without objection. With these changes, the film has now secured its clearance and will hit theaters as scheduled.
Given the popularity of the franchise, expectations are high for this fifth installment, and the minor edits are unlikely to impact the comic narrative the series is known for.
