Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who had maintained a stoic silence for 19 days following the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, has finally broken his silence in a moving and poetic tribute posted on social media. On April 22, terrorists massacred 26 innocent people in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, shocking the entire nation. In retaliation, the Indian Army launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on May 7, targeting and destroying nine terror bases in Pakistan and PoK.
Despite being active on social media, Bachchan had only been posting blank tweets, leaving fans puzzled and concerned. Many speculated when or whether the iconic actor would voice his opinion on one of the darkest days in recent Indian history.
Now, Big B has addressed the issue in a deeply emotional post. Through a poetic narrative, he condemned the terrorists, calling them “cowardly demons,” and honored the fallen innocents and the bravery of the Indian soldiers.
“While on holiday, that demon dragged out an innocent husband and wife, stripped the man, and shot him despite his wife’s desperate pleas. When the wife begged to be killed too, the coward said, ‘No! Go and tell…’,” wrote Bachchan.
Drawing inspiration from a poem by his revered father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, the actor evoked the agony of a grieving daughter and transformed it into a powerful metaphor:
“She said—‘I ask for sindoor (vermilion) from the ashes of his funeral pyre.’
And ‘he’ gave it to her—Operation Sindoor!
Jai Hind! Jai Hind Ki Sena!
You will never stop, never bend, never retreat—take the oath! Agnipath! Agnipath! Agnipath!”
This post struck a chord with millions and went viral, as citizens applauded Bachchan’s heartfelt tribute to the victims and his unwavering support for the Indian Army.
Blank Tweets Sparked Fan Speculation
For nearly three weeks, Amitabh Bachchan had posted only blank tweets, sparking curiosity and concern among followers. Many interpreted his silence as symbolic, while others urged him to speak up amidst rising India-Pakistan tensions. The actor’s latest post has now ended all speculation, offering not only clarity but a deeply patriotic message.

As India grapples with growing threats across borders, influential voices like Bachchan’s continue to play a pivotal role in shaping public sentiment. His tribute, echoing pain, pride, and patriotism, stands as a bold artistic statement in support of India’s fight against terrorism.
